Regan Blackburn - Chief of Staff, DVM

Dr. Regan Smith has wanted to turn her love of animals into a career from a young age. Since she has tried to save every stray and injured animal she sees, being a veterinarian was a perfect fit. She was born and raised in Lakeland and attended Florida Southern College for her undergraduate studies. She then attended University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2017.

Regan loves all aspects of her vet career, but especially loves creating a relationship of mutual trust and respect with her clients so that they feel comfortable with the medical decisions made for their fur babies. She is passionate about rescue animals and also really enjoys dermatology and dentistry as they can make a huge difference in the quality of an animal’s life.

Regan lives in a 1920’s historic home (that is always in a state of remodel) with her husband and their three rescue dogs, Lucille, Bacon, and Buck. She also has two rescue kitties, Alli and Carlos.
